Citizens considered the Finnish Border Guard and the Emergency Response Centre Agency to be the most trustworthy organisations within the public administration, appears from the Luottamus&Maine (Trust&Reputation) research carried out by T-Media.

The Finnish Border Guard shares the top position for third year in a row with another authority within the Ministry of the Interior’s administrative sector. In 2022, the Finnish Border Guard was placed first together with the Rescue Departments. In 2021, the Finnish Border Guard shared the first place with the Emergency Response Centre Agency.

T-Media arranged the award ceremony on 12 December 2023. Chief of Personnel Division of the Finnish Border Guard, Tom Hanén, participated in the event and commented on the research results as follows:

“We are pleased about the research results. It tells us that citizens experience that the Finnish Border Guard acts in their best interest. That is precisely our goal.  We wish to humbly thank for the trust we have been given and we strive to gain it all over and over again in our daily work.”

The trust of citizens is the foundation for the Finnish Border Guard’s operation. We are humbly grateful for the trust we have been given.

Nearly 10,000 Finns participated in the annual research carried out by T-Media. The research measures the reputation of organisations within the public administration and finds out what trust and support of the interest groups are composed of.
