D4FLY is developing safer border traffic solutions
The D4FLY project is developing methods for identifying, reducing and avoiding vulnerabilities in the identification processes of border control. The project aims to secure Europe's borders against serious organised crime, and is examining and developing new technology for verifying identity and documents.
D4FLY is focusing on improving the quality and efficiency of identity verification in land, sea and air border crossings. The project is producing faster and safer border traffic solutions.
D4FLY is a research and innovation project funded by the European Commission's Horizon 2020 programme. A total of 19 organisations from 11 European countries are participating in the research. The Finnish Border Guard is involved as an external expert.
