10.10.2025 | On 26 September 2025, Bombardier handed over the MVX project’s first aircraft to the integrator, Sierra Nevada Company (SNC), in Montreal, Canada. After the handover and acceptance, the aircraft was flown to SNC’s aircraft integration centre in Hagerstown, Maryland, in the USA, in order to commence the installations. The registration number of the first aircraft will be OH-MVX.

18.11.2022 | In its fourth supplementary budget proposal in 2022, the Government proposes EUR 6 million in funding for a pilot of the eastern border barrier fence. As an addition to the budget proposal for 2023, the Government also proposes EUR 139 million in funding for the implementation of the most important target areas of the eastern border barrier fence. The Finnish Border Guard has launched the procurement process for the pilot as well as planning of the next phase.
